We're looking for a strong senior-level Backend Engineer. Headquartered in Los Angeles,

Project Details
Our client is a post Series D company at a $900M valuation that has raised more than $400M
in funding across equity and debt. A Fintech that is revolutionizing lending in under-served
verticals that account for tens of billions of dollars in annual transactions. Its mission is to
connect people with their passions by simplifying the transaction process to purchase
powersports vehicles such as motorcycles, ATVs, mowers, snowmobiles, scooters and more.
Working with 40 OEM brands, more than 3,500 merchants in the USA and reaching millions of
enthusiasts through the largest powersports media brands in the world, is helping consumers
to buy their favorite products with instant, frictionless financing. Being profitable and having
the privilege of raising capital at terms they define, which is rare for tech startups all across
the
board and even rarer for a company that’s only 7 years old, they are on track to IPO in the next
few years and moving into other verticals, such as marine/boats/RVs.
Our CTO comes from well known tech companies like Amazon and Microsoft bringing 25+
years of industry experience to the table. You’ll be a part of a strong engineering culture
building modular software using the latest technologies like React, Django, PostgreSQL, and
Docker running on AWS cloud. We believe in automation and strong architecture. With us,
you’ll be building robust microservices on the backend, single source of truth data lake, as well

Required Qualifications
3+ years of total full-time hands-on coding experience.
3+ years of full-time hands-on experience building backend features using any of the
following Python / Django, Ruby on Rails, Node.js / Express, Java, C#, PHP, Go.
Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English.
Established experience of writing maintainable code.
Unit testing experience.
Extensive knowledge of web development, relational databases, and REST APIs.
Proficiency with a variety of protocols.
Experience debugging using SQL.
Require minimal direction and capable of independently gathering missing pieces in
order to complete tasks.
Being a problem solver who can present their ideas that might be different from others
and gather consensus.
Experience and desire for mentoring junior engineers.
Ability to perform high quality code reviews to ensure standards are met and learn
together.
Ability to lead technical initiatives including gathering requirements from the
stakeholders, designing technical solutions, and implementing them.
Ability to collaborate with teammates cross-functionally to understand how they
consume the decisioning platform.
Nice to haves:
Runtime and memory complexity using Big O notation.
A formal Computer Science degree.
Working experience in a proper Agile / Scrum team environment.
Deep understanding of automated testing, ability to set up automated testingframeworks, testing architecture, data seeding, mocking, and implementing best testing
practices.
