In this role, the candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure integration of operations and maintenance to team standards. He/she will have experience in Agile/LEAN/SAFe, DevOps and enterprise applications hosted in Azure.
The candidate is expected to review incidents and project deliverables insuring his/her activities meet or exceed service level agreements, and that requested work is completed on time.
What are you going to do?
Troubleshoot issues in production and other environments, applying debugging and problem-solving techniques (e.g., log analysis, non-invasive tests), working closely with development team
Suggest deployment patterns & practices improvements based on learnings from past deployments and production issues, collaborate with DevOps team for implementation
Promote a DevOps culture, including building relationships with other technical and business teams
Analyze reported code bugs/provide bug fix solution
Re-create, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose incidents relating to off-the-shelf and proprietary applications and/or platforms
Determine root cause of incidents (configuration vs. code defect)
Be liaison with appropriate teams for the development of corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents
Deploy application upgrades and fixes
Respond to automated alerts on the health of applications
Execute technical tasks in support of project initiatives
Perform routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications and reporting on their status
Adhere to E&Y and ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem and Change Management
Ensures all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and EY procedures
What do we need from you?
Minimum of 5 years IT experience
3+ years Microsoft .NET development
2+ years SQL Server 2016 database development experience including queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and user defined functions
2+ years Application Support experience
Solid knowledge of .NET C# MVC (Core and Standard)
Basic knowledge React.js, Node.js and Angular
Basic knowledge of iPaaS (nice to have)
Knowledge of SQL databases on Azure
Basic knowledge of Active Directory Accounts
General knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
General knowledge of MS Clustering technologies and configurations
Experience supporting applications in Azure managed services
Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
Knowledge of SQL Server Engine, Stored Procedures, Tables, Foreign Keys, Indexes, query tuning
Intermediate scripting knowledge in areas of system task automation (i.e. PERL, Powershell)
Advance knowledge and ability to read and modify XML files
Familiarity with at Terraform or Ansible (nice to have)
Experience of practical implementations of CICD tools with VSTS
Participate in 24×7 production support on-call rotation
Flexibility in scheduling with a willingness to work extra non-standard hours
Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team structure, but also independently
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet agreed deadlines, with demonstrable Productivity (Incident Completions etc.)
Fluent in English language, written and verbal (Bi-Lingual Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, German highly preferred)
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
MCITP – Microsoft Certified IT Professional
ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
